We are holding a special event that will include races and a pickem on Thursday, June 1st to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of HorseRacingPark.com. The event will be in the memory of Mike La Rosa who was a longtime supporter of the game and ran the SimRacingForm. He is surely missed on the site. The races will take place at FG which was Mike's home track. Here is a rundown of the races.
Race 1 - First HRP Race - This race is being modeled after the first race that took place at HRP on May 14th, 2003. It is an open 3+ maiden claimer at 6f on the dirt. Smokey Stover has graciously sponsored $100 in bonus credits to the race.
Race 2 - Sweet Mimosa(1) - This horse had the most earnings of any female for Mike of $178.96. The race is a f2 msw at 6f on the dirt and is modeled after the first race that Sweet Mimosa(1) won and has bonus credits of $50.
Race 3 - March Madness(2) - This horse had the most earnings of any male for Mike of $1240.00 while he owned him. The race is an open 2 msw at 5f on the dirt and is modeled after the first race that March Madness(2) won and has bonus credits of $50.
Race 4 - Graceful Bertha(1) - The most races a female horse won for Mike was 4. Three of them did it (Graceful Bertha(1), Cherepovets(1), and Sweet Mimosa(1)). This race is a f3+ alw at 6f on the dirt and has $75 in bonus credits that is graciously sponsored by the SRF Writers. It is modeled after the last race Graceful Bertha(1) won for Mike.
