1/14/2022 - Here is a small update to part of what will be happening with the jockeys. The abilities of the jockeys with the current lower percentages will be getting an improvement so that they are able to get more out of their horses. The 10% jockeys will remain basically the same and those under 10% will become closer in line with the 10% jockeys. The percentage fee is going to be eliminated and no longer displayed. A current win pct of some sort may be displayed instead but will not be tied directly to the underlying abilities of the jockey and just be there as a guide to how a jockey has been performing. We are planning to make the new jockeys available in workout first and then in races afterwards. We are looking at the middle to end of next week for workouts and then for races running on or after Feb 1. This will allow for many of the jockeys to be used in workouts first and then in races. To reiterate what is occurring is that the lower rated jockeys will be seeing some improvement and the higher ones will stay basically the same meaning at worst performance will remain the same and at best there will be some improvement.
